    Course Overview

Depression could be described as a mood, a state of being or energy level that includes a lack of motivation, a sense of hopeless and a lack of physical energy. it is an emotional state that can result from many aspects of life. Depression may be associated with a variety of nutritional deficiencies; it is a common symptom in many people, from young to elderly. Depression is not always simply an emotional or psychological condition, although it commonly includes emotional components. Depressive reactions may be associates with such problems as fatigue, obesity, headaches or poor digestion.

Along with grief, depression has been correlated with a higher incidence of cancer and may even be responsible for its genesis, as it may affect immune function. Depression could involve diet and substance intake, exercise activity, your bio-chemical and emotional states, and how you feel about all areas of your life, such as a job, relationships and family. The person suffering needs to do some thoughtful self-analysis.

Depression issues can escalate when left unaddressed. Generally speaking, people avoid talking about depression. Perhaps this is because most of us have dealt with the pain and isolation of feeling depressed, and consequently are scared or embarrassed to share this part of our lives.

This course is aimed at clearing up misconceptions and misinformation. It is full of natural suggestions and, hopefully, solutions for those afflicted with depression of those who know someone who suffers from this condition.

In this course we will also explore some unique therapies for depression to include: Bioptron Light Therapy, Zapping for Depression, Foot Reflexology, Foot Detox Baths, ans Aromatherapy. As always, Edgar Cayce philosophy will be incorporated into the course as will a message from the National Institutes of Health where i serve as a COPR Associate (Commission of Public Representatives).

  • Cholesterol and You Course
Instructor: Dr. Diane Baronetti, N.D., C.T.N.

    Education: 1.5 Continuing Education Units
Class Type: Natural and Holistic Health Student

    Course Overview

With so many people in this country taking prescription drugs (statins) for cholesterol problems, it might be time to embrace other ways of approaching this health concern. Alternative medicine attempts to get to the source or cause of the problem (tolle causum) and not just treat the symptoms.

You've probably heard over and over to "reduce your cholesterol." But you have cholesterol - and you always will. Every person's liver produces cholesterol. In face, most of the body's cholesterol is produced by the body itself. You may be surprised to hear a deficiency in cholesterol is associated with a higher risk for cancer and immune disorders, including AIDs. This is because the role of cholesterol is a protective one, binding (chelating) toxic mycotoxins (poisonous substances produced by a certain fungi) in the blood.

Heredity and lifestyle strongly affect your blood cholesterol levels. This course will explain the simple anatomy and science involved with cholesterol; outline the risk factors and causes of cholesterol issues, while highlighting prevention. Besides diet, lifestyle and supplement information, we will also explore an interesting alternative healing energy device called the "Zapper."
