  • Flower Essences: Peeling the Onion
    Instructor: Caroline Bayard, D.D., D.S.T.

    Education: 2 Continuing Education Units
Class Type: Holistic and Natural Health Student

    Course Overview

When working with emotional upsets, it is important to realize that emotions are a result of many negative or positive experiences over a long period of time. In order to address and heal the negative aspects of emotional stresses, it is necessary to slowly peel back the multiple layers that have originated in the first eight years of life.

Each time an emotion is anchored into a person's psyche, it will then be necessary to peel back the layers in a similar manner to the way they were experienced. Unfortunately most people are unaware of what triggered the emotion that we had experienced once at six years old that was repeated at eleven and and then again at nineteen on and on until they no longer in control of the unsettling issue.

Through the use of appropriate flower essence remedy or combination of remedies, the onion can be peeled back to the original cause and then heal it. Explore the process with us in this course as well as learning about the acute, passing, and chronic emotional stages of emotions in a person's life.

  • Holistic Anatomy to the Endocrine System
    Instructor: Caroline Bayard, D.D., D.S.T.

    Education: 2 Continuing Education Units
Class Type: Holistic and Natural Health Student

    Course Overview

As we approach the Endocrine System in a Holistic manner, please remember that these glands regulate
the functions of the body. If any one of these glands fails to function correctly, holistically, there is a
resistance in the person’s desire and ability to function as a whole. This is a very important concept
and needs to be investigated and understood. Be aware of this, especially when learning about the
hypothalamus and pituitary glands. There are endocrine glands found throughout the body. They
control many of the body’s functions through chemical substances called hormones.

    Glands are groups
of specialized cells that extract substances/chemicals from the blood and make new substances from
them. These substances are sent back into the bloodstream. An imbalance, in any of the hormones,
can cause a particular problem with the specific gland or organ, but it also has a dramatic effect on the
long term health of the entire body. Think of how a car would respond if it ran out of gasoline – the car
would stop functioning completely. If the oil was too low, the parts would start to burn out and then
cease completely. But, in what may seem like a less serious problem, if the windshield washer fluid runs
out, this might not be a major problem?????

Well, when the outside stress (a rainy wind storm that is
blowing dirt and debris) is excessive, the inability to see where you are driving could cause a really bad
accident and even a possible crash with total destruction of the car. Come learn more about why this is a
part of what the endocrine system does!

How about the color of the urine? What about the smell of the urine? What does it mean when you shake some of the urine in a container and find foam? All of these and much more can assist you in determining imbalances in a person’s health. It is amazing how simple it is to keep a person’s health in balance by a few simple tests and observations.

  • Holistic Approach to Basic Anatomy
    Instructor: Caroline Bayard, D.D., D.S.T.

    Education: 2 Continuing Education Units
Class Type: Holistic and Natural Health Student

    Course Overview

You are going to be working with the body from a holistic approach. When you go through this course, remember to approach each system, organ and gland from the physical disorder, the emotional process that brought about that disorder, the mental thought that created the emotional upset and finally the spiritual (belief system) that initiated the need for the disorder. When working with dis-ease, there are many aspects of the disorder to consider. First consider the physical symptoms that are presented. Next consider the physical causes of the disorder, and next the possible solutions.

To really heal the physical health issue, it is necessary to take the physical disorder and relate them to the emotional challenges that are a part of the person's life and ways of dealing with these challenges on the emotional level. After this, it is necessary to address the physical/emotional issue and relate it to the mental/thought process that initiated the physical disease. And lastly to work with and heal the spiritual/belief system challenge that is at the root of the entire process causing the physical disorder. This course opens the doorway to looking at the anatomy in relationship to physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

With further study and your personal creativity, you can take to new levels of understanding. The concept is to utilize the art form in conjunction with healing the physical, emotional, mental and belief systems that a person grows up with. Our belief systems formulate the ways we respond to everything that we interact with in life. It is essential to realize how these belief systems work in conjunction with our psyche.

How we were taught to internalize upset, praise, stagnation, fears, and the like has a dramatic effect on how we relate to the world around us, as well as how we make all of our decisions in life. This manifests as "the belief system" - what we were taught was the "truth" - somewhere in our early years. This is established in the first eight years of life and the repeated over and over until we choose to alter that belief system because it no longer suits our pursuit of happiness. By evaluating the pictures that you see and addressing the imbalanced presented, you can alter how you perceive your life. By extending the art work on all four levels of conscious and three levels of time, you can change the person's perception.
